SWDP Series Feed Pellet Stabilizer — Higher PDI, Less Stress Cracking

SWDP series feed pellet stabilizer is installed after the cooler to give hot pellets extra retention time at controlled temperature. The stabilizer relieves internal stress, improves starch gelatinization and helps increase PDI while reducing fines and moisture migration.

Why SWDP Feed Pellet Stabilizer

Post-conditioning stabilizes pellets after cooling, improving durability and storage behavior.

Higher Pellet Durability

Extra retention time at elevated temperature helps increase PDI and reduce fines.

Stable Residence Time

Controlled bed height and multiple stages keep pellets inside for the required time.

Gentle Handling

Slow-moving conveying and proper guiding avoid additional pellet damage.

Flexible Configuration

Single or multi-stage design fits different line capacities and PDI targets.

Easy Integration

Installed between cooler discharge and screener / crumbler / bins in most layouts.

Inspection & Cleaning

Access doors and smooth internal surfaces support inspection and cleaning.

    FAQ

Stabilizer vs. cooler — what is the difference?
The cooler mainly reduces pellet temperature and moisture to safe storage levels. The stabilizer gives pellets extra time at elevated temperature after cooling, helping to relieve internal stress and improve PDI, especially for high-energy or high-fat feeds.
Where is SWDP installed in the line?
Typically after the counterflow cooler and before the screener / crumbler / finished product bins. We can adapt the inlet and outlet to fit your existing layout and height.
How much PDI improvement can I expect?
Many plants see PDI improvements of around 3–8 points depending on formula, pelleting conditions, retention time and cooler performance. Actual results must be confirmed in operation.
