Why DSP120‑B

Steam conditioning before the barrel increases gelatinization, reduces fines and improves pellet durability for aquafeed and high‑end livestock feed.

Pre‑Conditioner

[Single/Double‑shaft] with adjustable paddles for [60–180 s] retention.

Steam Integration

Saturated steam [0.2–0.4 MPa]; moisture addition [2–6%] typical.

Higher PDI

Better starch cook → durable pellets and lower dust.

Clean Discharge

Optimized die + knife keep ends neat and uniform length.

Flexible Pellets

Floating/sinking aquafeed or premium pet foods with die kits.

Safety & CIP

Interlocks, E‑stops; access doors for easy clean‑in‑place.

Performance & Utilities

Typical output

[800–2,500 kg/h], depending on recipe, die and steam.

Main motor

[75–132 kW] AC; VFD recommended for load control.

Pellet size

0.8–12 mm round; optional shapes available.

Steam consumption

[— kg/h] @ [0.2–0.4 MPa]; condensate return supported.

Conditioning

Retention [60–180 s]; target barrel [120–170°C] by recipe.

Materials

Stainless contact parts option; wear‑resistant screw & liner.

Note: Results depend on formulation, moisture program, steam quality and die compression.

Configuration Options

FAQ

Wet vs. dry extruder — what’s the difference?
Wet type uses steam and retention time to improve cook and PDI, typically enabling higher capacity and pellet quality. It requires steam utilities and condensate handling.
What steam spec is required?
Saturated steam around [0.2–0.4 MPa] is common. Consumption depends on formula and target moisture; we’ll size it with you.
Floating or sinking pellets?
Both possible via moisture program, die compression and knife speed. We provide starting recipes for your targets.
Recommended spare parts?
Die plate set, knives, screw/liner wear kit, belts and bearings. A 6–12 month starter kit is available.
Target higher PDI and neat pellets? Get sizing, die set and price within 12 hours.
